Cloud computing is maturing quickly

Cloud computing and associated technologies are developing at a rapid rate, a new survey conducted by AMD reveals.

According to the research, 70 per cent of respondent businesses are using or plan to use cloud hosting services for their applications and data storage.

Some 60 per cent of chief information officers told AMD that they have already experienced the value of the cloud, while 92 per cent said infrastructure was the main motivation for making the transition.


The findings point to the fact that while the era of cloud computing has arrived, there are radically different attitudes, approaches, concerns and levels of maturity depending on business environment.
