MacBook Air with Sandy Bridge, Thunderbolt to rival ChromeBook?

MacBook Air with Sandy Bridge, Thunderbolt to rival ChromeBook?

Apple currently producing new MacBook Airs?

Apple might release a next-gen MacBook air soon, and the company is now producing their new netbook, based on the note posted by Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to the analyst, the Cupertino-based company recently placed an order with its Asian partner manufacturers for at least 380,000 new gen MacBook Airs, all equipped with Intel’s newest Sandy Bridge processors that the current-gen iMacs are using.
Aside from the faster processor, Kuo also added that the upcoming MacBook Air model will feature the Thunderbolt transfer technology, the same new technology used by the latest model of MacBook Pro and the 2011 iMac generation.
Apple is reportedly producing 55% of the 11.6 inch MacBook Air, and the rest (45%) are 13.3 inches model. Looks like Apple wants to challenge the ChromeBooks manufactured by Samsung and Acer. Apparently, the ChromeBooks are powered by Google’s new and much-talked about Chrome OS that introduces the web-only netbook build.
